Nature Quotes Tim McGraw

Video of Tim McGraw with nature quotes

Reminiscing about nature quotes

I used to have a book of note cards and postcards with nature quotes on them. It was given to me by my sister. That book had some of my favorite nature quotes that I've ever read. But now I can't even remember what they were or who they were by. I can't even remember the general gist of them. It almost seems as if the nature quotes weren't that important to me if I can't even remember them. Of course, I tend to forget things quite easily, unless I've been given a lot of time to rigorously memorize and remember it. There aren't really any nature quotes that I've done this with though.

Qualities of the best nature quotes

So what would make the best nature quotes? It's kind of hard to define. As a postmodern, I don't really view it as a clear check list of things that must or must not be present in an easily delineated structure. I think of nature quotes the way I think about life in general; fluidly, artistically, subjectively. Truly great nature quotes are the ones that hit you between the eyes, the ones that make you stop and think. And if they are really great, nature quotes can rock your world, maybe even change the surface of it forever.

Effect of nature quotes

And that is what I really want from my nature quotes (and when I say "my" I mean the ones that I read, grow attached to, and struggle to remember every time it comes up in conversation). I want them to be something that will change me even if I cannot remember what exactly the nature quotes were or why exactly they changed me the way I did. Even if I cannot tell you for sure what the changes were, they still had a lasting effect on me. Some of the nature quotes can change the way you think about the earth, or the way you think about yourself, or the way you think about the past or the future or the present.

Avoiding cheesy nature quotes

So when you go into the store, or online, or wherever you typically run into nature quotes, go ahead and read those nature quotes. But a word of warning; avoid the cheesy ones. I'm serious. Those ones make me sick.
